Title: Islington adds up for DogStar
DogStar has recently produced the London Borough of Islington's Council Tax and Business Rates booklets for 2009.
DogStar, who have worked regularly with Islington for the past four years, won the project after a three-way pitch in November 2008.
Every March Islington produces the two booklets, explaining the budget for the following financial year and highlighting successes and achievements of the past year. The booklets are the most vital pieces of council communication and are pivotal in positioning Islington as a safer, cleaner, greener community to live in. They go to every household and business in the borough.
DogStar's design challenge was to not only create a clear, easy-to-use and attractive pack, but one that influences residents to think positively about the council and its services. The concept uses resident's reflections to express how Islington really does add up to a great place to live and work.
Joanna Papadopoulos, Client Services Director said, "Our primary objectives with the design were to promote the diversity of the borough, communicate future plans and most importantly do this with clarity and with the support of resident's opinions. Readers can easily pick and choose the information they want."
