The Science and Engineering Clubs pilot was launched earlier this year to engage and inspire students in both science and engineering. It is being implemented by a consortium of STEM partners led by STEMNET, including ASE, the BA, Ecsite-UK, the Network of Science Learning Centres and the Specialist Schools and Academics Trust.

The main aim of the website is to inspire and inform. It is for club leaders to be able to share good practice and monitor the progress of the clubs. There is a chat forum and the site can be used to track student projects and activities. There is also a directory of services, suppliers and club resources available to help leaders with worthwhile resources.

Matthew Tosh, the Science and Engineering Clubs Coordinator, an ex-science teacher himself says, "DogStar were very understanding of the requirements of the project. What impressed me most was their attention to the end user's experience, which shouldn't be overlooked. Teachers across the country have commented on how useful they are finding the site as they can share information with colleagues."
