DogStar rebrands the Contact Islington centre

DogStar have worked with Islington Council and architect firm LSI, to overhaul their flagship customer service centre, Contact Islington, on Upper Street.

The improvements designed by LSI include a new layout, better seating arrangements, lighting, an area for children and new self-service points, where residents can access Islington Council services online.

DogStar were brought on board to design the interior decoration to make the centre more attractive, develop the children's area and draw attention to the new service areas, all in line with the Islington brand.

Simon Davies, Managing Director said, "A couple of years ago the centre won the National Customer Service Centre of the Year Award, so it's credit to the council that they decided to undergo further improvements. Council buildings in general haven't got the most glamorous reputation, so we really took the opportunity, along with the architects, to create a vibrant and welcoming space for Islington, using a variety of vinyl graphics, offset by the wall colours and eye-catching lighting."
