Epaderm 'Slap it on, wrap it up' campaign

Epaderm Ointment is used for the treatment of eczema and psoriasis and one of the key challenges Mölnlycke Health Care faced when marketing it was letting people know that it’s ‘greasy’ texture was a good thing – as an emollient the greasier the better as it seals in moisture. Another challenge was that it also needed to cross promote another product: Tubifast Garments, which is used in conjunction with Epaderm to increase results.

Our solution was the ‘Slap it on, wrap it up’ campaign. First and foremost the simple and memorable catchphrase worked across all levels of collateral and tackled Epaderm’s main disadvantage – ‘greasiness’ – head on! It also communicated the regime of using the two products together. This was complimented by a fun illustrative style that also engaged the audiences whilst delivering serious messages. The campaign won a DBA Design Effectiveness Award.
